Learn More About Dr. Collins

He was selected, trained at, and received his certificate in the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from 1993-1997 at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Collins started his oral surgery practice from scratch in Waynesboro, Va in 1997. He became board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1999. In 2003, he expanded his practice to Charlottesville, Va. He maintains both practices in both Waynesboro and Charlottesville. Dr. Collins met his wife, Kess, in dental school. They have three children in college and high school, and live at the base of the Blue Ridge in Afton, Va. He lives a very active life that includes: photography, running, hiking, screenwriting, film making, acting, playing guitar, singing, songwriting, and farming. He is also interested in colonial antiques, Shenandoah Valley pottery, landscaping and architectural design. He feels very lucky to be surrounded by very caring coworkers and wonderfully pleasant patients.
